AORTIC/ISNCC - Policy Leadership Programme 2024/2025.
Overall Goal: The programme aimed at preparing African Nurses to be leaders in cancer control across Sub-Saharan Africa, developing policies and care standards at institutional, local, national, and regional levels. Nurses’ voices are critical in strategies and programmes to reduce the cancer burden in Africa.
Training: The training would be delivered using an E-learning platform through synchronous and asynchronous methods over two years. The first year focuses on delivering educational components, and the second year, in developing a cancer control plan that is pertinent to participants’ country. The training is composed of a series of Educational Modules and mentored activities. Educational Modules will address a range of topics in cancer leadership. Evaluation will be based on assignments, projects, pre and post-tests, modules’ attendance, presentations, among others.
Mentorship : Each participant will be matched with a mentor with whom they will work over the course of the programme.
Certificate : A certificate will be issued at the end of the training/ Programme.
